NOTICE OF MEETING

GOVERNING BODY OF

CITY OF JOHNSON CITY

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Johnson City will meet in Regular Session at City Hall, 303 East Pecan Drive, Johnson City, Texas, at 6:00 pm., the 6th of April 2010, to consider the following:

 

POSSIBLE ACTION ITEMS:

  1. Opening the Meeting
  2. Petitions from the public
  3. Pedernales Electric Coop. update – James Crawford
  4. Review and possibly take action on Little League garbage service – Earl North
  5. Consider and possibly take action on permission to tear up sidewalk/street at 201 E. Main Street for gas tank removal – Blanco National Bank/Sherry Hawkins
  6. Discussion and possible action on a request for City support regarding a building permit and inspection for a youth program building – Raymond Weeks
  7. Grant report regarding new grants - Gandolf Burrus, Grant Development Services
  8. Police Department report regarding citations, calls, mutual aid policy and incidents – Chief Randy Holland
  9. Utilities Report to include pumping, billing, lab reports - David Dockery
  10. Planning and Zoning Commission report and recommendations
  11. Review and possibly take action on a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission regarding parking requirements for the Zoning Ordinance.
  12. Discussion and possible action on the sign ordinance
  13. Consider and possibly take action on filling the vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Commission
  14. Chamber of Commerce report
  15. Discussion and possible action on a resolution canceling the May 8, 2010, Municipal Election because all three candidates (James Stevenson, Alyce Duncan, & Ralph Moss) are unopposed
  16. Approve minutes of last meetings
  17. Approve payment of bills
  18. Adjourn

 

The City Council reserves the right to take necessary action on any of the items on the above agenda and/or go into closed executive session for any of the above items regarding legal matters (Section 551.071); Real Estate (Section 551.072); Gift or Donation (Section 551.073); Personnel (Section 551.074); Conference with Employees (Section 551.075); Deliberation Regarding Security Devices (Section 551.076); Agency Financed by Federal Government (Section 551.077); 551.087 (Economic Development), 418.183 (Deliberations about Homeland Security Issues) and as authorized by the Texas Tax Code including, but not limited to, Section 321.3022 (Sales Tax Information) and Exclusion of Witness from Hearing (Section 551.084).

 

I certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the governing body of the City of Johnson City was posted on the bulletin board in the City Hall, 303 E. Pecan Drive, Johnson City, Texas, on March 30, 2010, at 9:30 o'clock a. m.  I further certify that the following news Media were properly notified on this meeting as stated above.
